Best Injectables and Dermal Fillers
Turn Back Time With These Treatments!
Our Best Injectables and Dermal Fillers are practical, non-surgical solutions to help turn back time, providing the youthful look you’ve always wanted. In this article, we’ll discuss Botox, Juvederm Fillers, Restylane Fillers, and Sculptra Aesthetic – answering some of the most popular questions we’ve been asked about these impressive treatments.
Botox, also known as Botox Cosmetic, is a Botulinum Toxin. This treatment, far from new, has been used for decades to correct moderate to severe wrinkles, including frown lines, stress lines, and crow’s feet. This temporary solution can last anywhere from three to four months. If you have Botxon injected every twelve to twenty weeks, your body should be able to maintain the effect.
Botox Cosmetic can also be used in “off-label” areas, including the corners of the mouth, the wrinkles of the upper lip, and cheek wrinkles. These treatments are often successful and effective. While there have been reports of Botox Cosmetic complications, these generally take place when high doses are used to cure muscle spasms. In small, aesthetic doses, complications only take place when physicians use a non-approved or inaccurately prepared product. In other words, choose a trusted physician and your experience will be superb.
Botox works by blocking the nerve impulse to your muscles, relaxing them. After your first injection, it will take four to five days for the full effect to take place. It’s important to note that only the muscles in the immediate area of the injection will be affected. It will take multiple injections to target multiple areas. Botox is injected using a needle not much larger than a hair. Our team applies a numbing cream, followed by ice, to reduce discomfort.
Juvederm Fillers come in five major forms – Juvederm, Juvederm Voluma, Juvederm Ultra, Juvederm Volbella, and Juvederm Vollure. Juvederm is the number one selling collection of hyaluronic acid fillers in the United States. All fillers from Juvederm consist of smooth, clear gel that is administered by injection. The official approval for Juvederm by the FDA covers nasolabial creases or folds (otherwise known as smile lines). We also administer Juvederm for “off-label” areas, including the corners of the mouth, wrinkles on the upper and lower lips, and other areas of depression.
Juvederm Vollure is designed to moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds around the nose and mouth for adults over the age of twenty-one. Results last up to eighteen months, while results for the similar Juvederm Treatment last for just twelve months. Juvederm Voluma is designed to improve volume in the cheek area, fighting age-related midface volume loss. Results last up to twenty-four months. Juvederm Ultra adds temporary fullness to thin lips in adults over the age of twenty-one. Results last up to twelve months. Juvederm Volbella is used for lip augmentation and correction of “lipstick lines” in adults over the age of twenty-one.
Like Juvederm, Restylane is a hyaluronic acid product used for filling and lifting certain wrinkles. This product made our Best Injectables and Dermal Fillers list because of its effectiveness and ease. Restylane Silk, designed for lips, was first approved by the FDA in 2015. By 2016, it had become one of the most popular fillers. Restylane products are injected with a small needle directly into the dermis of your wrinkles, elevating and diminishing them. Restylane is uniquely effective for depressions under the eyelids, marionette lines, and lip lines. Restylane products typically last six to nine months. However, if another injection is given between four and six months, results can last up to eighteen months.
Restylane recently introduced Refyne and Defyne. Restylane Refyne is designed to support your skin and soften laugh lines, while Restylane Defyne is used for deep laugh lines.
Formerly known as Sculptra, this treatment is similar to our other Best Injectables and Dermal Fillers. However, Sculptra Aesthetic focuses on voluminization rather than simple elimination. The treatment is a powder that is mixed with water to allow injections. Made from a biodegradable, biocompatible, synthetic material used by physicians for decades, Sculptra Aesthetic can stimulate collagen and voluminize your face. Results last up to twenty-four months.
Sculptra Aesthetic is extremely safe, assuming the treatment is properly injected. Training sessions are necessary for anyone interested in purchasing the material. Dr. Finger has been a nationally-approved trainer for six years and has injected thousands of patients with Sculptra Aesthetic successfully. It’s important to recognize how Sculptra Aesthetic differs from other fillers. You won’t experience instant gratification. Rather, you’ll notice gradual results over three to six months. Still, rather than filling wrinkles alone, this treatment can return a youthful shape to your face.
